- You have more than one pair of running shoes and keep at least one in your vehicle at all times.

- Mud puddles make you happy.
- Weather doesn't matter- you are running!
- You can and do eat substantial food before, during and after a race.
- Vitamin 'I' (Ibuprofen) and anesthetic (beer) are used liberally during and after races.
