A Language of Androgyny

At a recent presentation on LBGTQI issues I learned about gender neutral pronouns. Zie= he/she, hir=him/her, Hirs=his/hers. Mostly these are meant to be used with those who identify as Intersex, those with atypical reproductive anatomies and disorders of sex development.

Subject
Zie looked at the thing.
Object
The person looked at zim.
Possessive Adjective
It was hir thing.
Possessive Pronoun
The thing was hirs.
Reflexive
The person did it hirself.
Sort of interesting to think about speaking this way, almost a whole new language.
